As many might notice I am not regular in writing blogs. I thought I would since I love to write and express my thoughts in the written media but I get busy and forget.
This year at the Kanoe Cafe will be an interesting year not because of the economy but the uncertain question will be answered "Will the Kanoe make it through such a down turn?"
My excuse for not locking the door is very simple "I am a stubborn German" and I will not quit. An independent restaurant owner and a corporate owner have some differences and one big one is the independent has everything invested. The corp manager looks at the bottom line and ask is it red or black.Decisions are made by the color not by the risk of achieving a dream.
I am lucky that I am not making my personal bills by running this place because the decision would be very simple. It was hard over 18 months ago to make the decision to follow my dream and leave a good government job behind. But I am happier following my own destiny. Doing what is best in my mind. If the Kanoe survives through the first quarter of this year it will stand strong though many quarters of many years. The dream will come fully alive.
I believe God will show the way either through another door or just stay here and rest. Be happy and prosper.
That is my thought for the day. I still see rainbows and the pot of gold so praise God I still have eyes to see.
